She's his worst nightmare...a human mate.

"I wasn't sure how I'd feel about Bennett's book. I'm not overly fond of manwhores, and yet for this one, I forgave him because it wasn't something to be proud of. I hate it when being a manwhore is celebrated. I read romance for the romance, and that to me, isn't romantic.

Okay, off that soapbox since this book did not have that. No, Bennett was a man grieving, one who'd been betrayed by his mate, and was almost killed because of her. It's hard to trust and put yourself out there when the one who claimed to love you was disgusted and fearful of you. You know what I loved about how this situation was handled? She wasn't painted as an absolute villain. She was young, from a different era, and scared of the differences between her shifter husband and her human self.

Thankfully Bennett finds another mate, Spencer, who accepts who he is, but it's not all sunshine and roses. Of course not, or else it'd make for a boring book. And this was not a boring book. So many little twists and turns, revelations that had me either going "I knew it!" or "Holy crap, did not see that coming!"

I love this series. The characters are fleshed out and makes you feel for them, even the villains. Well, some of the villains. I'd love to see Madame G tortured, that vile woman or creature or whatever the hell she is."

  • All I can say is wow!!! This story started out quick with Bennet finding his own mate. After that it's just one twist one direction then another twist in a different direction. This story answered a lot of questions and created more questions. The characters are all so strong and believable . Try find your true mate and try to resist being together. That would be so hard to do. I just loved the cliff hanger maybe... Read this book it's real good. Now on to the next book.
  • I'll just say I loved the first two books that were action packed page turners for me. This one seemed kind of dull. With a predictable ending.

However, I do enjoy how each book continues the storyline and incorporates character building. What I mean by this is, each book focuses on a different character, telling their story, yet I still get to see some of my other favorite characters interactions with them.

Even though I didn't enjoy this book as much as the others, the saving grace is the storyline building that will have me purchasing the next book.
  • Bennett gets messy and meets his match. In between the battles with Sigma, there's passion, a few cows, lots of surprises and kittens! You'll love this book.
  • Like books 1and 2, book 3 was excellent! I can't hardly put these books down as they are excellent! The Sigma group gets more and more determined in their evil endeavors but thanks to the Guardians they are not successful!
  • Men can be stubborn animals. Sometimes it takes a hundred years for them to apologize. Love is worth the wait.
  • I totally enjoy this series. It has awesome characters and an excellent storyline. I will definitely purchase the other books.

  • A little convoluted for my liking, but good. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. The characters were cool, but I would have liked to see more of the baby!
