When Nurses Hurt Nurses 9781935476566 Medicine Health Science Books Reviews
- loved Dellasega's presentation of the problem of bullying in nursing; she describes the problem very well and will add to the knowledge of this long term but only recently identified problem in nursing
- The first time I read this book was by pure coincidence. At the end of a very tedious workday, my supervisor attacked my integrity with various types of ugly adjectives. So seeking solace, I left the hospital with tear-filled eyes, and ended up in the library, where I stumbled upon this book. I enjoyed every chapter so much that I bought a copy for my supervisor.
Mississippi Princess - Being a nurse I thought this book would be helpful in understanding the behavior of nurses. The book was helpful in identifying these behaviors. The writing format with all the references made it cumbersome like I was reading a term paper. I did not get much out of the self help sections at the end of the chapters.
- I am a working nurse with 35 years on experience and can relate to the "bullying" YES BULLYING that goes on in the nursing profession. A must read for fellow nurses who have come up against Nurse Ratchet...or her evil sister.
- Sad commentary on how caring people can care so little for each other.
- Love this book! Every nurse & nursing student should read.
- When Nurses Hurt Nurses by Cheryl Dellasega describes accurately the issues facing nurses on all levels. The horizontal and vertical hurt of peers that happen daily. It also provides suggestions for change. Every nurse on all levels ought to read this book! This book addresses the issues and offer hope for change and improvement in the work environment.
- An easy reading book that not only describes a problem that is happening in the world of nursing, but it also clearly presents solutions for coping and solving this issue. This is a MUST read for ALL nurses and especially those who are just entering the workforce
